Photovoltaic power generation increased by about 30% year-on-year
The latest data shows that in the first half of this year, China's cumulative photovoltaic power generation reached 266.3 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of about 30%. The newly added installed power generation capacity was 78.42 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 154%, which is basically equivalent to last year's full year data. As of the end of June, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation is about 470 million kilowatts, surpassing hydropower to become the second largest installed power source in China.
Photovoltaic power generation completed investment of over 130 billion yuan
In terms of investment, in the first half of this year, China's photovoltaic power generation completed an investment of over 130 billion yuan, accounting for about 50% of the total investment in renewable energy.
According to Dong Wancheng, Deputy Director of the Development Planning Department of the National Energy Administration, the construction of centralized photovoltaic projects in Gansu, Xinjiang, Shanxi, Hubei and other places has accelerated, with completed investment amounts exceeding 10 billion yuan; Shandong, Henan, and Zhejiang have increased their efforts in the construction of distributed photovoltaic layouts in urban and rural areas, with investment amounts exceeding 12 billion yuan each; Inner Mongolia and Gansu continue to promote the construction of large-scale wind and photovoltaic base projects.
The export of photovoltaic products increased by 11.6% year-on-year
In terms of exports, in the first half of the year, the total export value of photovoltaic products in China reached 28.92 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 11.6%, effectively helping to improve the quality and upgrade of foreign trade.
According to the relevant person in charge of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, from the perspective of product structure, the export proportion of silicon wafers and solar cells has increased, while the export proportion of modules has decreased. From the perspective of export regions, Europe remains the largest module export market, with silicon and solar cell exports mainly concentrated in Asia.
The output of the main links in the photovoltaic industry chain increased by over 65% year-on-year
In the first half of 2023, the production of major links in China's photovoltaic industry chain will achieve high-speed growth. The national production of polycrystalline silicon, silicon wafers, batteries, and modules has reached a new high, with year-on-year growth exceeding 65%. At the same time, the intelligence and green level of photovoltaic equipment are constantly improving, further reducing costs and increasing efficiency, and promoting industrial iteration and upgrading.
In the polycrystalline silicon sector, the national production from January to June exceeded 606000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 66.1%.
In the silicon wafer sector, the national production from January to June exceeded 253.4GW, a year-on-year increase of 65.8%.
In the battery sector, from January to June, the national production of crystalline silicon batteries exceeded 224.5GW, a year-on-year increase of 65.7%.
In terms of component production, from January to June, the national output of crystalline silicon components exceeded 204GW, a year-on-year increase of 65%; The export reached 108GW, a year-on-year increase of 37.3%.
