China's photovoltaic industry maintained high-speed growth in the first three quarters
In the first three quarters of this year, the scale of China's photovoltaic market continued to expand, and the output of the main links in the industrial chain continued to grow. The photovoltaic industry continued to maintain high-speed growth.
In the first three quarters of this year, China's investment in photovoltaic power generation was 222.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 67.8%. More than half of the newly added power generation capacity in the country comes from photovoltaic power generation capacity.
At present, China has formed the world's most complete photovoltaic industry chain. In the first three quarters, the national production of silicon materials, silicon wafers, batteries, and modules increased by over 70% year-on-year, and the total output value of the photovoltaic industry exceeded 1.2 trillion yuan. Continuously breaking through in key core technology areas, the independently developed new crystalline silicon perovskite stacked cell has achieved a photoelectric conversion efficiency of 33.5%, reaching the world's leading level.
The China Electricity Council predicts that with the implementation of renewable energy quota policies such as green power trading and green certificates, China's photovoltaic industry will continue to develop rapidly. It is expected that by the end of 2023, the installed capacity of grid connected photovoltaic power generation will reach 560 million kilowatts, accounting for nearly 20% of the total installed capacity.
In terms of exports, from January to September, the export volume of silicon wafers, solar cells, and modules in China increased by 88.3%, 74.3%, and 33% respectively year-on-year. Photovoltaic products have become one of the new three types of foreign trade, and they account for a relatively high proportion.
On the application side, from January to September, the newly installed photovoltaic capacity in China has exceeded 128.94GW, a year-on-year increase of 140%, far exceeding last year's historical high level in three quarters. At the same time, N-type products continue to expand their applications, and technology is showing a diverse trend.
